Steinbeck characterizes Lennie with descriptive language that creates
an image of an animal. In a paragraph analysis (that is typed), define Steinbeck’s purpose for his characterization of Lennie and analyze what literary elements he uses to achieve his overall purpose.
*Think about what constitutes descriptive language and all the literary elements he uses
*Make sure to include textual evidence (ie quotes with page #s)
*Include a strong topic sentence, develop your idea, and end with a strong concluding sentence
*Length = 8-10 sentences
